The collar is the most critical part of any custom dress shirt. At Lewis and Taylor we offer a range of collars, from the traditional point shapes that are ideal with a tie through to the more contemporary 2 button English cutaway, which looks great with or without a tie. Point collars are probably the most common in America whilst wide spread cutaway collars are gaining popularity in Asia and Europe. if you have a special request such as a soft collar then plase contact us

We offer plackets in three styles:
If you would like a little more room in your shirt a pleat in the back of the shirt is recommended, side pleats are more formal while box pleats are popular with the disciplined services. If you would like to add detail to your shirt, we also offer a split yoke, which works best with striped fabrics.
Probably the biggest complaint about off the peg shirts is the tail always comes out. At Lewis and Taylor we make your shirts to suit you and we even offer extra-long tail for those who are particular active. Some customers prefer a flat bottom to their shirts or a gussett if they are wearing them untucked ; What ever you choose, it will definitely be a better fit the an off the peg garment.

BEWARE OF TROCA - Although many of our competitors state they use Mother of Pearl buttons, they actually use the more common Troca shells that do not have the same strength of lustre as mother of pear buttons (Narce). We even fit real real rivershell buttons to our sample shirts.
